1: Cartons and Boxes
SMARTBOX Storage can supply a variety of cartons and boxes for moving & storage, including:
- Dish-pack cartons have internal dividers to accommodate fragile items like dishware and glassware.
- Wardrobe boxes that allow clothing to hang on a metal bar.
- Mattress covers that will protect mattresses from damage and soiling.
- Mirror boxes are designed to adjust to different-sized mirrors, pictures, and other fragile, flat items.
- Speciality boxes for hard-to-pack items. We can even provide custom crating for high-value items and antiques—check with us for all the details.
2: Protective Wrap
Extra cushioning is always a good idea when moving something fragile. The protective wrap is exactly what you need to help ensure your items remain undamaged throughout your move. We offer:
Offcuts provide a clean, protective surface for almost all your packing needs. Unlike newspapers, our newsprint does not contain ink, which can damage your items.
Bubble pack that offers greater cushioning and protection for fragile items.
3: Tape
It may seem small, but having high-quality tape is critical to keeping your belongings safe. SMARTBOX Storage can provide:
High-quality packing tape that is 1½” to 2′ wide.
PVC-type tape or strapping tape with filament strands for extra sturdy packing.
If packing yourself, please ensure all containers are securely closed for storage.
4: Marking Pen
Use a bold marking pen to mark boxes to avoid confusion later as you unpack. SMARTBOX Storage recommends:
A heavy permanent marker.
Listing items on the outside (top and sides) of each box.
Indicating which room boxes are to be placed outside each box.
Notes such as “FRAGILE” and “THIS END UP” should be added.
Identify cartons and boxes with your last name to assist the driver in unloading them at the destination.
5: Box Labels
It’s essential to label the boxes. This will help you determine what room the items came from so you can quickly move them to the right spot when you move into your new home.
